Workshop on ‘First aid and emergency response’ held at Patkai Christian College

DIMAPUR — The Department of Zoology, Patkai Christian College (A), Chümoukedima, under the aegis of the DBT Star College Project, organised a workshop titled ‘First aid and emergency response’ on September 12.

The event featured Dr. T Lima Imsong, Senior Medical Officer of 13 NAP (IR) Battalion, Yajang, as the resource person, the college stated in an update.

Dr. Imsong shared his expertise on the essential principles and procedures of first aid, focusing on the 3Ps: preserve life, prevent further deterioration, and promote recovery.

He also highlighted the critical importance of the ABCs of first aid: airway, breathing, and circulation.

The workshop provided participants with essential knowledge and skills for effectively responding to emergencies and administering basic first aid.

“This initiative aimed to empower individuals with the confidence to act competently during critical situations,” it stated.
