Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako felicitates HSLC topper at 4th M Chuba Meritorious Award

DIMAPUR — The Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) organised the 4th edition of the M Chuba Meritorious Award ceremony at the Cimorb Hotel conference hall in Kohima on Saturday.

Instituted in memory of late M Chuba, the award recognises outstanding High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) achievers from the Yimkhiung community.

According to an update, this year’s awardee, Ashila K, who secured 20th rank in the HSLC examination, was felicitated with a cash prize of INR 1,00,000, a memento, and a certificate.

Short speeches were delivered on behalf of the family of late M Chuba and by Moses P Yimchunger, President of the Yimkhiung Union Kohima. After the felicitation, Ashila K shared her academic journey in a testimonial speech.
