Workshop on Digi Locker and eProcurement to promote digital governance to be held in Kohima on July 18.

DIMAPUR — The Department of Information Technology and Communication has informed that the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and IT, in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology and Communication, will organise a one-day workshop on ‘Digi Locker (User Experience for Government Application)’ and ‘eProcurement and eTendering System’.
The workshop will be held on July 18, from 9:30 am onwards, in the conference hall of the Directorate of Information Technology and Communication, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, the objectives of the workshop are to digitally empower citizens by providing a secure digital document wallet and enabling access to authentic digital documents and certificates directly from the source, thereby advancing the vision of paperless and efficient digital governance.

It also aims to create awareness and chart a forward-looking digital transformation plan, as well as to streamline and automate the procurement process, leading to increased efficiency, cost savings, and transparency in purchasing goods and services.
All the departments have been requested to kindly nominate a senior officer from the directorate to attend the workshop, under intimation to this department with an endorsement copy to the Office of the Chief Secretary and the Directorate of Information Technology and Communication for necessary action.
