Dimapur police recover the unidentified dead body of a non-Naga man near Railgate. Claimants are asked to contact East Police Station.

DIMAPUR — An unidentified dead body of a non-Naga man, aged approximately 45 to 50 years, was recovered below the flyover near Railgate, opposite Traffic Control Dimapur, on May 10.
According to an update from the police, telephonic information was received from Dimapur Traffic Control at around 1:30 pm regarding the body. Upon receipt of the information, the personnel on duty rushed to the spot for verification.
An inquest was conducted over the dead body, and it was ascertained that the cause of death is suspected to be due to starvation or illness. On completion of all legal formalities, the deceased was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
The deceased was wearing a white vest, grey pants, and black underwear. Claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge of East Police Station, Dimapur, at 7085055020.
