DIMAPUR — The Tuensang District Football Association (TDFA) has invited applications for the registration of football tournaments and clubs under its jurisdiction, as part of its initiative to streamline football activities and strengthen grassroots development in the district.
In a notification, the association stated that registration is mandatory for all tournaments, including those already in existence as well as new tournaments.
According to an update, organisers intending to conduct or who have been conducting football tournaments are required to submit detailed information, including the name of the tournament, type of competition (knockout or league), age category, venue details, year of establishment, tentative month, prize details, and complete organiser credentials.
The association has also called upon football clubs to complete their registration by furnishing details such as the club’s name, year of establishment, address, contact information, office bearers, number of players, age category, achievements, participation history, and official jersey colours.

Clubs have been instructed to attach relevant documents, including the club constitution or bye-laws, identification proof of office bearers, and a formal application along with the registration form.
TDFA stated that all applicants must submit a declaration affirming that the information provided is true and correct and that they agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the association.
The association pointed out that the registration process is essential to ensure proper coordination, transparency, and the promotion of organised football within the district.
Interested organisers and clubs may obtain the prescribed forms from the association and are encouraged to complete the registration process on or before May 31.
