In view of damage caused by heavy rains and flash floods, Tuensang DDMA directs all relief operations to be routed through its office.
DIMAPUR — The Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has notified that all relief and rescue operations in the district must be coordinated through the DDMA.
The directive was issued in pursuance of the NSDMA letter dated July 28 and in view of the extensive damage caused by heavy rainfall and flash floods across the district. The coordination is aimed at ensuring smooth, equitable, and accountable distribution of relief materials.
All NGOs, church organisations, community-based organisations, and well-wishers intending to provide relief in cash or kind have been requested to contact and route their assistance through the office of the chairman of the DDMA.
