NSDMA has directed that all district-level relief and rescue operations in Nagaland be coordinated through the respective DDMAs to ensure efficient and equitable distribution of aid.
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, has informed that all relief and rescue operations at the district level will be coordinated exclusively through the respective District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) in view of the extensive damage caused by heavy rainfall, landslides, and flash floods across the state.
In a circular, the NSDMA stated that the measure has been taken to ensure the smooth, equitable, and accountable distribution of relief materials.
It informed that NGOs, church organizations, civil society organizations, and well-wishers intending to provide relief in cash or kind should route their assistance through the office of the Chairman of the respective DDMA. The authority added that contact details of all DDMAs have been provided in an annexure to facilitate coordination.
