NSDMA issues dedicated helpdesk numbers to coordinate relief and assistance for families affected by Nagaland's monsoon disasters
DIMAPUR — As Nagaland continues to recover from the recent spell of devastating monsoon rains, the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued dedicated helpdesk numbers to facilitate relief assistance for families affected by landslides, flash floods and widespread disruption to road connectivity.
In an office memorandum, Secretary to the government of Nagaland, Sentiwapang Aier, said the recent extreme weather events have caused extensive damage across the state, triggering landslides, severe flash floods and disruptions to road and transport networks.
The memorandum stated that the disasters have left many families homeless and in need of shelter and immediate relief assistance.
To ensure better coordination of relief efforts by government agencies and private organisations, the NSDMA has designated dedicated officials and helpline numbers for affected residents and organisations seeking assistance.

The State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) helpdesk can also be contacted at 0370-2270129 or 0370-2270130 for emergency assistance and coordination.
The state government has urged affected families and organisations involved in relief operations to utilise the designated helpdesks to facilitate timely assistance and better coordination of relief and rehabilitation efforts.
