DIMAPUR — The Ao Senden, Langpangkong Tzukong Mungdang, Wamaken Village Council, Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC), Public Works Department (PWD) (Road and Bridges) Tuli Division and representatives of the contractor conducted an inspection of the Foothills Road at the 8.5 kilometres re-alignment at Wamaken village under Mokokchung district on December 9.
According to an update, during the inspection, the quality workmanship of the road construction by M/S 3S Infra was found satisfactory.
It stated that due to the late withdrawal of the monsoon, three culverts are yet to be completed out of nine. Hence, the concerned authority has been requested to grant an extension of time to the contractor as the delay was caused by factors beyond human control.
It also requested the government of Nagaland to commence issuing the work order for the second phase of the Foothills Road at the earliest.
The Ao Senden expressed gratitude to the PWD (R&B) Tuli Division for their constant monitoring of the ongoing project and the Wamaken Village Council for extending assistance to the firm and the onsite workers.
