DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Forest Division marked the nationwide observance of Seva Parv with a plantation drive on Wednesday.

Led by Beizo Suokhrie, divisional forest officer, the initiative saw approximately 2,000 saplings planted at Nagar Van/Nagar Vatika sites and degraded forest lands under Kuhuboto and Chümoukedima forest ranges, according to an update.

Addressing forest officers and field staff of the division, Suokhrie said, “Through Seva Parv, the Forest Department is realigning the Division’s ongoing commitment to building awareness on environmental stewardship and conservation ethics.”

The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Dharmendra Prakash, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Nagaland, attended the programme and highlighted the importance of collaborative action for environmental protection.
