KOHIMA — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday formally launched the state-level Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), a nationwide health campaign focusing on women and children.

The launch coincided with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide inauguration of the campaign from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. Legislators, bureaucrats, department officials, and other dignitaries attended the national event virtually at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.

The campaign was formally rolled out on September 17, coinciding with the Prime Minister’s birthday, and will continue until October 2, which marks the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Alongside the launch, Rio also inaugurated Integrated Public Health Laboratories (IPHL) for the district hospitals of Mon and Dimapur and flagged off six rapid response team (RRT) vehicles, more than a dozen ambulances, and hearses.
