DIMAPUR — An awareness programme on mental health under the SBI Sanjeevani Clinic on Wheels, supported by the SBI Foundation, was held at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Pungro town, Kiphire, on Saturday.
According to an update, in the welcome note, Secretary of the implementing agency, T Kirithong Sangtam, expressed gratitude to the Nature SBI Foundation team for organising the awareness programme and medical camp.
He stated that such initiatives are very important, especially as seasonal illnesses are common among students. He appreciated the team’s continuous efforts in visiting villages and encouraged them to keep inspiring and helping the people of Kiphire.
A special presentation was performed by the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya.
During the session on mental health, the Medical Officer from Nature SBIF Kiphire explained that health is not just the absence of disease but a complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being.

He pointed out that among young people, poor mental health is one of the leading causes of death. He stressed that life consists of three important aspects: physical health, social health, and mental health. He stated that mental health is very important for overall well-being.
In the closing remark, Project Lead of Nature SBIF Nagaland Longtili C thanked the staff and students for their participation.
He shared that this programme marked the 11th awareness programme conducted by the team since the beginning of the project. He also mentioned that the team has carried out four sanitation drives and three specialist health camps in Kiphire.
He added that despite challenges in remote areas, the team remains committed to reaching the last mile and working for better health services in the district.
