Z Nyusietho Nyuthe inaugurates ‘Sakhi: One Stop Centre’ in Meluri to offer legal and psychological support to women in distress.

DIMAPUR — Advisor for New and Renewable Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, inaugurated a ‘Sakhi: One Stop Centre’ in Meluri on October 13.
According to a DIPR report, in his inaugural speech, Nyuthe urged the officials and staff to ensure that the centre becomes a home of miracles for the women who are in distress and can find counselling, hope and comfort.
He also appealed particularly to women civil societies to take responsibility and extend cooperation to the centre’s staff for the welfare of Meluri district.

In his welcome address, the Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson of the District Level Committee (DLC), Mission Shakti, Meluri, K Mhathung Tsanglao, said that the Sakhi: One Stop Centre provides support and services to women affected by violence in private and public spaces.
He added that it offers assistance with legal and psychological support, including domestic violence.
The inaugural programme was attended by all heads of offices under the Meluri district, public leaders, and civil societies of Meluri.
