DC Woch lauds 100% HSLC result

DIMAPUR — Government High School (GHS) Sendenyu organised the inauguration of a Reflection Point along with a felicitation programme for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination successful candidates on the school premises in Tseminyu on May 8.
The occasion was attended by Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, as the special guest, according to an update.
The programme began with the arrival of the special guest at the newly established Reflection Point, where the formal inauguration of the site was conducted.
Delivering the welcome address, Shasinlo Thong, Headmaster of GHS Sendenyu, highlighted the school’s journey towards achieving a 100% HSLC result. He acknowledged the dedication and collective efforts of the teachers, students, parents, and the community in attaining the milestone.
Graduate Teacher Soyhunlo Seb congratulated the successful students and appreciated the efforts of both students and teachers in the development of the school's botanical garden. He also brought to light the need for a hostel facility for the students and urged all stakeholders to contribute towards its establishment and development.

During the programme, the successful HSLC candidates of the school were honoured for their academic achievements.
In his speech, Japheth Woch lauded the collective efforts of the students, teachers, parents, and church leaders in achieving the school’s excellent result. He encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence, work hard in their future endeavours, and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.
He also appreciated the initiative of establishing the Reflection Point for the benefit of both teachers and students as a place to sit, reflect, and grow after stressful work.
Daniel Thong Seb, Chairman of the School Management Board, congratulated GHS Sendenyu, the headmaster, and teachers for achieving a record 100% pass in the recently concluded matriculation examination.
He also placed on record the maiden visit of the Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu to GHS Sendenyu in August 2025, where he encouraged the students and donated ceiling fans for all the classrooms.
