Pro Rural organises a medical health camp in Jalukie, Peren, benefitting 126 residents with support from the Peren district administration and medical officers.

DIMAPUR — Pro Rural, a humanitarian NGO, organised a public consultation-cum-medical health camp at Samziuram Village Council Hall, Jalukie, Peren district, on January 13.
According to a press release, the programme was organised under the aegis of HCL Grant India on the theme “Healthcare access for every family”. The camp witnessed a gathering of 126 people, particularly senior citizens seeking healthcare support.
In the first session, the programme was attended by Vikoho Puro, EAC Peren, representing the deputy commissioner. In his speech, he underscored the importance of prevention methods achieved by practising healthy lifestyles and good food habits.
He further addressed the different schemes and health cards undertaken by the government for the welfare of the public.
Two doctors from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Peren, Dr. Kiholi, DTO DACO, and Dr. Viholi, DPO NCD, supported the health camp.
Following the consultation session, the medical health camp commenced with participation from the community. Six health specialists, including dental surgeons, optometrists, and family medicine specialists, conducted the free medical checkup.
