Patkai Christian College and Pranab College hold interactive sessions and contests to mark World Entrepreneurs’ Day.
DIMAPUR — Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) in Chümoukedima and Pranab College in Dimapur marked World Entrepreneurs' Day on August 21.

Patkai Christian College: Young Indians at Patkai Christian College organised a one-day entrepreneurship interaction programme on the theme “From idea to impact” at the college conference hall.
According to an update, the programme brought together students and three entrepreneurs to discuss the journey from conceptualising ideas to building sustainable enterprises.
Zakir Alam, Programme Coordinator and Faculty-in-Charge of Young Indians, stated that World Entrepreneurs’ Day was a celebration of ideas, courage, creativity, resilience, and the willingness to take the first step into the unknown.
He highlighted that entrepreneurship begins with an idea but is shaped by determination, perseverance, and action. Outlining the vision of Young Indians, he encouraged students to identify opportunities, create value, address societal challenges, and contribute positively to their communities.
Dr. Dakter Esse Jamir, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication, moderated the technical session. She noted that the programme was designed to equip students with practical knowledge about innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable enterprises and encouraged them to actively engage with the speakers.

Atoho A Kinimi, founder and Director of JoldiPabo Private Limited, shared his entrepreneurial journey and recalled how his first food venture was supported by students of Patkai Christian College. He explained that the idea for JoldiPabo emerged from his personal difficulty in finding rental accommodation, which led to a platform connecting accommodation seekers with properties.
Underscoring the importance of problem-solving, Kinimi stated that successful ventures often emerge from identifying everyday challenges and developing practical solutions. He encouraged students to pursue their career paths with confidence and dedication.
Imli Lee, a musician, entrepreneur, event manager, and President of the Music Awards of Nagaland, spoke about his journey in the creative and music industries. He described how persistence and a willingness to embrace opportunities helped him progress.
Peihauding, founder and CEO of Ngurie Organic Private Limited and Kendeu Coaching Centre, shared his journey from a village to becoming an award-winning entrepreneur. Speaking about organic agriculture and sustainable enterprise, he highlighted the importance of vision, faith, research, and perseverance.
Pranab College: The Entrepreneurship Cell of Pranab College, in collaboration with the Career, Guidance and Counselling Cell and the Department of Commerce, organised a programme at the college auditorium.

The programme was chaired by Bendangmongla Lemdur, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce. Rupam Dasgupta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, delivered the keynote address, followed by a talk and demonstration by entrepreneur and social worker Kimthailiu Panmei.
The event featured an ‘Innovation Competition’ designed to encourage cross-departmental collaboration. Eight students from each participating department were divided into four mixed groups, designated as Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D.
The groups were evaluated on innovation, feasibility, market analysis, financial planning, and presentation quality. Group C emerged as the winner.
The second session of the programme featured a Campus Sale, which provided students with practical exposure to entrepreneurial activities.
