DIMAPUR — The Pangti Village GBs and Action Committee for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) have formally notified the contractor, M/S LPSS Infra, Kohima, to expedite the completion of the PMGSY Phase III T-01 Mangmetong to Doyang road project and replace the damaged water supply pipelines serving Pangti village.
The resolution follows a general meeting held on April 21, where it was unanimously decided that formation cutting, culvert retaining walls, breast walls, and side drain works must be executed at a faster pace.
According to an update, the delay has severely hampered vehicular movement during the rainy season and caused serious inconvenience to the public.

The committee stressed that workmanship standards must be strictly adhered to and will be monitored periodically.
It was further highlighted that the village’s water supply pipeline snapped on November 12, 2024, and has yet to be replaced. Since then, residents have been compelled to purchase drinking water at a cost exceeding INR 30,000 per day during the lean season from November to April.
The GBs, the Action Committee for PMGSY, and the general public have, therefore, directed the contractor to take necessary action on or before July 31, failing which they will absolve themselves of any responsibility.
