Padayatra in Niuland to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary

DIMAPUR — The government of India, under its MY Bharat initiative, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in coordination with the district administration, Niuland, has announced the organisation of a padayatra on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary.

According to a DIPR report, the nationwide campaign will be conducted in Niuland district on November 13. The rally will commence at 6 am from Clock Tower and culminate at the Town Hall.

The padayatra aims to foster the spirit of national unity, integrity, and social harmony among citizens.

The programme schedule for the event includes a cleanliness drive in the district-wide Swachhata activities on November 11; essay and elocution competitions on the life and legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on November 12; and a district-level rally (padayatra) on November 13.

All government officials, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, youth club members, and the general public have been invited to participate in the padayatra.
