NSEDM conducted ERSW 3.0 in Dimapur, certifying 36 aspiring entrepreneurs and providing training in business planning, finance, credit access, digital skills and entrepreneurship.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM), under the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Government of Nagaland, conducted the third edition of its Enterprise Readiness Support Workshop (ERSW 3.0) on August 18 and the 19th at E-Space, Duncan, Dimapur.
According to a DIPR report, the two-day workshop was organised as part of NSEDM’s continued post-training support to candidates, with the objective of facilitating pathways towards employment, self-employment and entrepreneurship.
A total of 36 trained and aspiring entrepreneurs were certified upon completion of ERSW 3.0.
The participants were identified based on the findings of an Entrepreneurship Readiness Assessment Survey conducted during their skill training.
The assessment helped NSEDM identify candidates with an interest and potential for entrepreneurship and provide targeted post-training support.
The workshop was anchored by Imtisunup Longchar, Entrepreneurship Development Counsellor, NSEDM, and brought together practitioners and domain experts as resource persons.
The first day featured sessions facilitated by Lezo Putsure, CEO, EduCentre School of Business; Nengneithem Hengna, Director, Runway Nagaland; Kewengule Therie, founder, Ake Living; Alemjungla Jamir, founder, Naga Bowl Express; and Nzanrhoni Humtsoe, Creative Director and co-founder, Brief & Co. Marketing Agency.

The second day featured sessions by N Robert Tungoe, Manager, SBI Dimapur, and Lipokjungla Ozukum, Director, Ilandlo Services Pvt. Ltd.
The workshop covered key areas including entrepreneurship mindset and readiness, business growth and strategy, business operations, financial literacy, digital skills, credit access, legal and regulatory awareness, cost analysis, and business planning and pitching.
Participants were guided in developing business plans and pitch decks, following which they presented their proposed business ideas and ventures.
The exercise provided them with an opportunity to articulate their business propositions, target markets, operational requirements, growth plans and funding needs.
Particular emphasis was placed on translating skills and entrepreneurial ideas into actionable business plans.
The workshop also introduced participants to the next stage of NSEDM’s Intensive Mentorship Programme (IMP), which is intended to provide continued guidance and handholding as participants work towards implementing and strengthening their enterprises.
Credit facilitation formed another important component of ERSW 3.0. Participants were sensitised on credit and borrowing, enterprise financing through banks, credit readiness, eligibility, repayment considerations, government-supported schemes and institutional support. The sessions also emphasised responsible borrowing and informed financial decision-making.
The NSEDM has adopted an end-to-end approach to skill development, extending its engagement beyond training to include enterprise readiness, mentorship, credit linkages and other relevant support mechanisms.
Concluding the workshop, Meripeni Ngullie, Under Secretary and Project Lead, NSEDM, encouraged participants to put into practice the knowledge and learning gained during the workshop and remain committed to developing their entrepreneurial pursuits.
“ERSW 3.0 reflects NSEDM’s continued commitment to strengthening post-training engagement and enterprise development support for its candidates,” the report stated.
It added that through enterprise readiness training, mentorship, credit facilitation and continued handholding, NSEDM seeks to strengthen an enabling ecosystem where skills can translate into sustainable employment, enterprise creation and livelihood opportunities across Nagaland.
