The NSCN/GPRN Chakhesang Region announces a zero-tolerance policy against illegal substances and unauthorised excursion trips with the Assam Rifles.

DIMAPUR — The Regional Authority of the NSCN/GPRN has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards all forms of illegal activities involving prohibited substances and intoxicants within the jurisdiction of the Chakhesang Region.
According to a public notice and directive issued by Neisalie Krome, Kilonser and CAO Caretaker of the Chakhesang Region, any individual found involved in the sale, distribution, transportation, possession, trafficking, peddling, or dealing in banned substances, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, illicit liquor, and other intoxicating or prohibited materials will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the Azha and laws of the government.
It noted that no person will be exempted from legal action irrespective of status or position.

Furthermore, it noted that certain individuals are taking initiatives in coordination and collaboration with the Assam Rifles to organise, sponsor, facilitate, or provide excursion and exposure trips for students within the jurisdiction of the Chakhesang Region. It was made clear that such activities are not authorised, recognised, or entertained.
“Therefore, any Naga individual or group found engaging in, promoting, facilitating, sponsoring, or coordinating such activities shall do so at their own risk and shall be held fully responsible and accountable for any consequences, complications, or situations arising therefrom.
“The public is hereby advised to exercise utmost caution and strictly adhere to this directive. All citizens, village authorities, student bodies, and concerned organizations are expected to extend their full cooperation in maintaining law, order, and the collective interests of the people,” it read.
The directive came into force with immediate effect and will remain binding until further orders.
