A newborn baby was found abandoned at a Kohima construction site and is now under Child Helpline care

KOHIMA — A newborn baby was found abandoned at a building construction site in the high school area of Kohima on Wednesday morning.
According to a reliable source, construction workers discovered the infant wrapped in clothes and placed inside a thermocol box when they arrived at the site for work at around 8 am. The baby was taken for a medical examination and later shifted to Naga Hospital Authority Kohima.
Sources said that the infant is in a stable condition. The baby has reportedly been placed under the care of Child Helpline 1098, while further legal procedures are being initiated.
