A church youth leader from Kohima was arrested under the POCSO Act over the alleged molestation of a 17-year-old girl.

KOHIMA — A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a case involving the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Kohima, official sources said.
Official sources confirmed that the accused, a resident of Kohima village, was actively serving as a youth leader at a local church when the incident occurred.
The alleged assault took place while the accused and the girl were out together for church-related works.
Police sources also confirmed that an FIR has been registered at the Kohima Women Police Station and that the accused has been booked under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The accused is currently in judicial custody, sources added.
