The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party of Pughoboto Region installs newly appointed office bearers for the tenure 2024–2027.

DIMAPUR — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) of Pughoboto Region conducted an installation programme for its newly appointed office bearers for the tenure 2024–2027 at the RD Hall, Pughoboto town.
In a press release, the NDPP Pughoboto Region stated that the event was attended by KT Sukhalu, Advisor for Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection and the MLA-in-charge of the region, as the special guest.
In his address, Sukhalu highlighted successful events like the Thanamir Apple Festival and Longmatra Mango Festival, emphasising Pughoboto's fertile land and proximity to the state capital as major advantages for regional growth and development.
He encouraged the gathering to work hand-in-hand with the government for the holistic development of the region.

The advisor also reaffirmed the chief minister’s faith in Vikheho Swu’s leadership and urged party members to work at the grassroots level to strengthen the party in the region.
Delivering a short address, former Minister Y Vikheho Swu and the newly appointed President of the NDPP Agri & Allied Organisation, expressed his gratitude to the chief minister and the NDPP leadership for their trust and confidence in entrusting him with the new responsibility.
He also acknowledged the chief minister’s developmental efforts in Pughoboto and urged the office bearers and party members to collectively strive toward a state of excellence in the region.
The event also featured speeches by Zhuwoto Kiba, Vice President of Central Executive Body (CEB), NDPP; Lukiqhe Assumi, Joint Secretary, CEB, NDPP; Kughakhu Sheqi, outgoing president; and Viyikhu Wotsa, the new President and others.
Following the installation session, a general discussion on regional party affairs was held.
The programme saw participation from members of the NDPP Central bodies, regional office bearers, and party chairmen and secretaries representing all villages under Pughoboto Region.
