DIMAPUR — The media team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nagaland, convened an introductory-cum-consultative meeting at the party head office in Kohima on July 25.
The meeting was chaired by chief spokesperson N Kakuto Chishi and attended by state vice president Eduzu Theluo, state spokespersons, and members from the state IT, social media, and print media wings, the state BJP media cell stated in a press release.
The key focus of the meeting was to strengthen the party's outreach efforts and highlight the vital role of the media in disseminating accurate, credible and constructive information.
Emphasising the BJP’s commitment to the Northeast, particularly Nagaland, the media team reiterated that the party, as the largest democratic national party, always pay equal attention to all the regions and community alike.
“Despite Nagaland’s limited financial resources, the intervention of the central government has played a pivotal role in uplifting the state through various welfare schemes and infrastructure development initiatives.
“The BJP Media Cell expressed pride in actively participating in this transformative journey,” the release stated.

Nagaland: NPP pushes for border action plan
The meeting also called upon the public to dispel any misconceptions or misinterpretations surrounding the party’s principles.
“As a coalition partner with the NDPP, the BJP has brought a unique blend of true regionalism with a nationalistic outlook, ensuring the aspirations of the people are met with respect and resolve.”
The media team also lauded the swift and decisive actions of Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, law enforcement agencies and CSOs, in promptly addressing the influx of illegal immigrants and reinforcing law and order in the state.
Special appreciation was extended to BJP National President JP Nadda and National General Secretary (Org) BL Santhosh, for appointing Anil K Antony, a Christian Prabhari to a Christian-majority state.
Additionally, the team welcomed the appointment of Benjamin Yepthomi as State President, citing his humility, straightforwardness, and dynamism, and pledged unwavering support to his leadership.
Further, BJP media team congratulated the six newly-appointed State Morcha heads and wished them success in their roles, looking forward to their commitment and dedication.
“The BJP Nagaland media team remains committed to supporting the party’s mission and communicating its values and achievements to the people of the state with clarity and sincerity,” it added.
