National Vaccination Day was observed in Kiphire with a three-day livestock drive targeting Foot and Mouth Disease.

DIMAPUR — The Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Kiphire, under the leadership of Dr. Tsilise Sangtam, Chief Veterinary Officer, observed National Vaccination Day with the launch of a three-day livestock drive in Kiphire on Monday.
The event brought together the Aspirational Block Fellow from NITI Aayog, veterinarians, and animal lovers from the district.
According to a DIPR report, addressing the delegates and veterinarians, Dr. Tsilise assured full saturation of the two key indicators under the district and block programme for Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0.
Ningsangwu Bomrr, Aspirational Block Fellow, highlighted NITI Aayog's ongoing efforts and pledged comprehensive support to departments for district saturation and development. He also flagged off the vaccination drive.

The three-day continuous vaccination drive was launched, targeting 11 wards of Kiphire town and nearby villages. The focus is on combating Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) through mass vaccinations for cattle and cows and Classical Swine Fever for pigs.
This initiative aligns with the ongoing Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 under the Aspirational District and Block Programme. The programme culminated by flagging off the vaccination van for the 11 wards.
