GHSS Tening hosts awareness programme on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

DIMAPUR — An awareness programme on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan on the theme ‘Drugs and substance abuse’ was conducted at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) auditorium, Tening, Peren district, on Wednesday.
According to a DIPR report, the programme aims to spread awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and to promote a drug-free and healthy lifestyle among the youth.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tening, Fiirhesie Nyuwi, in his speech, emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating drug abuse from the society. He encouraged students to be ambassadors of change by making positive life choices and guiding their peers to stay away from harmful substances.
As part of the campaign a series of competitions centred on the theme was organised, including prepared speech, drawing, slogan writing and essay writing. Attractive prizes were awarded to the winners of each category to recognise and encourage their efforts.
The programme concluded with the declaration of results and prize distribution, followed by light refreshments marking a successful and meaningful observance of the Nash Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan at GHSS Tening.
