MGM College holds talk on national unity

DIMAPUR — As part of the pre-event celebration of Sardar @150 Unity March, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of MGM College, Dimapur, organised a talk on October 28 at its auditorium on the theme “Strength in unity: Patel’s message for today’s youth.”

An update from the college stated that the session was attended by Fuchumo Yanthan, head of History department, as the resource person. In his address, Yanthan highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s pivotal role in uniting the nation and his enduring legacy as a symbol of strength, determination and national integrity.

Drawing inspiration from Patel’s ideals, he urged the youth to embrace the spirit of unity, discipline and service to the nation in the face of modern challenges.

It stated that the event witnessed active participation from faculty members and students of MGM College, along with teachers and students from MGM Higher Secondary School, whose enthusiastic involvement enriched the programme’s spirit of togetherness.

The programme concluded with a unity pledge, where all participants reaffirmed their commitment to uphold the ideals of national integration and unity that Sardar Patel so passionately championed.
