Power department under Kohima transmission division to initiate total shutdown in some areas for vegetation clearance and maintenance works.

DIMAPUR — In an effort to avoid unwanted disruption and facilitate stable power supply, the Power department under Kohima transmission division has decided to undertake vegetation clearance and maintenance works of 132kV and 33kV transmission lines from October 6 to November 15.
In this regard, the department informed that there would be total shutdown of power in some areas from 9 am to 4 pm daily to facilitate smooth execution of the activity.
It has sought cooperation from all consumers and public in the affected areas and to bear with the incontinences during the shutdown period.
It informed that power supply to Sanis, Bhandari, Baghty and Merapani areas would be affected on October 17 and 18; Zhadima area under Kohima from October 31 to November 3; Northern Angami area under Kohima and Pughoboto area on October 6; Chiephobozou area under Kohima on October 8; Zhadima area under Kohima and Tsosunyu on October 9 and 10; Zhadima area from October 11 to the 15th; NU Meriema area on October 16; Southern Angami area on October 20; Southern Angami area and Chozouba areas on October 21 and 22; Lalmati area and Zubza areas and Duilumroi SHP from October 23 to the 25th; Lalmati area and Zubza areas on October 27 and 28.
