DIMAPUR — The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pungro, Neilezo Tep, has issued an order enforcing partial restriction on vehicular movement between Zungki River and Kiusam town from October 3 to the 31st.


The restriction is being enforced to facilitate and expedite earth cutting, road resurfacing, and installation of new drainage pipes under the project ‘Improvement of road from NH-202 Junction to Pokphur via Phelungre, Kiusam Hq. (Kiphire),’ a DIPR report stated.


The work is being executed by North East Construction (NEC), Chümoukedima, under the Department of PWD (R&B).

The restriction of vehicular movement shall be between: 3 am to 6 am, 8 am to 12 noon, and 2 pm to 5 pm.


Public have been advised to plan their travel accordingly to minimise inconvenience. The NEC has been directed to ensure that the site is properly secured and work is completed within the stipulated time. It was further stated that medical emergencies and essential government duties will not be obstructed by the restrictions.
