DIMAPUR — Additional Deputy Commissioner & CEO of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), Atsungba Walling, has informed that it has come to the notice of the MMC that certain commercial establishments within Mokokchung town are engaged in the unauthorised use of domestic LPG cylinders (14.2 kg) for commercial purposes.

In an order, the ADC attention brought to the notice of the public and all concerned stakeholders that domestic LPG cylinders, as per Clause 3 of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order, 2000, are strictly for domestic use and cannot be used commercially.

This regulation aims to ensure safe and proper utilisation of LPG, preventing black market activities and potential hazards associated with unauthorised use, a DIPR report stated.
