Chakhesang Hoho Kohima congratulates Sano Vamuzo
DIMAPUR — The Chakhesang Hoho Kohima (CHK) has congratulated Sano Vamuzo on being honoured with the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Human Rights Award 2025. In a press release, the CHK stated that Vamuzo, as a pioneering educator and social reformer, exemplified courageous leadership through decades of dedicated service. “As the founding president of the Naga Mothers' Association, she led bold initiatives against violence, substance abuse, and gender inequality—championing the values of compassion, human integrity, and nonviolence. As the first Chairperson of the Nagaland State Commission for Women, and through countless grassroots engagements, she has uplifted voices often left unheard,” the hoho stated.

Illegal liquor destroyed in Mokokchung
DIMAPUR — An illegal consignment of liquor seized under various cases in Mokokchung was destroyed in compliance with the order passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Mokokchung, Julian Stilhou, on July 12. According to a DIPR report, the members of the destruction committee comprised of the district’s APP, SDPO, DPRO and PI. After the inspection of the destruction site by the CJM, 5436 bottles of rum, 336 cans of beer and 48 bottles of whiskey were destroyed.

Mass social work conducted at Pfütsero
DIMAPUR — On the directive of ADC Pfütsero, Mhalo Humtsoe, a mass social work was conducted at Pfütsero, Phek district, on July 12, with active participation from all government employees and general public in collaboration with town councils. According to a DIPR report, the social work was held as per the resolution passed during the recent DPDB meeting where it was decided to observe monthly mass social work involving all government employees, general public in collaboration with town councils.
CMO Noklak informs on DHMC meeting
DIMAPUR — The Chief Medical Officer of Noklak, Dr. Victor NC, has informed a meeting of the District Hospital Management Committee (DHMC) members will be held on July 16, right after the DPDB meeting at DC’s conference hall, to discuss issues pertaining to District Hospital Noklak. All the committee members have been directed to attend the meeting after the DPDB meeting, a DIPR report stated.
