Over 9,700 candidates are competing for just 46 Excise constable posts in Nagaland, with physical tests underway at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur.

DIMAPUR — A total of 9,904 eligible candidates are competing for 46 constable posts in the state’s Excise department, with the first round of physical tests commencing at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur, on Monday.
The physical test was conducted in two shifts on the first day: the first from 7 am to 12 noon, and the second from 1 pm to 5 pm. Candidates holding admit cards with serial numbers from 1 to 1,690 participated in the test.
Of the total applicants, 8,426 were male and 1,478 were female.
The physical test includes an 800-metre run—to be completed within 3 minutes for male candidates and 4 minutes for female candidates—10 pull-ups for male and 5 for female candidates, and a long jump of 12 feet for male and 10 feet for female candidates.

The physical tests will continue until July 24, with all female candidates scheduled to take the test on July 23.
Candidates from districts other than Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland who were scheduled for July 14 but were unable to attend may appear on July 24 at the same time and venue.
