DLGBU denounces debate challenge
DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Lotha GBs' Union (DLGBU) has questioned Hayithung Bill's challenge to the Deputy Chief Minister for a debate on press freedom, suggesting it was politically motivated. Instead of a debate challenge, the DLGBU proposed that Hayithung Bill organise a public meeting with constitutional experts to educate people about press freedom rights under the Indian Constitution if his intentions were genuine.
DC Mokokchung notifies BMTs, CSOs
MOKOKCHUNG — Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, has informed that the proposed residential training (district process lab) for block master trainers (BMT) and civil society organisations (CSO) under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyaan campaign has been rescheduled. Originally slated for September 9 to the 11th, the training would now take place from September 15 to the 17th. The DC has requested all the concerned to take note of the changes. (Our Correspondent)

Dr. Roland Lotha to address BRICS Forum
DIMAPUR — Dr. Roland Lotha, a humanitarian leader, has been invited as a guest speaker to the prestigious II BRICS Forum ‘Traditional values’ in Brasilia, Brazil. The event, scheduled from September 15 to the 17th, is part of Brazil's BRICS Presidency, and focuses on humanitarian cooperation and peacemaking, an update stated. Dr. Roland Lotha is also the chairman of Rson Heart for Poor People Trust (RHPPT), an organisation he founded in memory of his beloved son to serve the marginalised communities. “His participation will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening ties and advancing humanitarian cooperation through volunteerism,” the update stated.
Zunheboto DPDB meeting on September 10
DIMAPUR — The monthly Zunheboto District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for September will be held on September 10 at 11 am at DC’s conference hall. In a circular, Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, informed all DPDB members to take note of the date and attend the meeting positively.
