DIMAPUR — Yashoda Hospitals has officially partnered with the Nagaland Government’s Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), enabling eligible residents of the state to avail free and cashless treatment at its hospitals in Hyderabad.

The announcement was made by G Karthihaivelan, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer of Yashoda Hospitals, during a press conference held at College Bites, Dimapur Government College, on Saturday.

Under the scheme, employees and pensioners (EP category) are entitled to family coverage of up to INR 20 lakh per year, while families under the general category (GC) can avail coverage of up to INR 5 lakh per year.

To support patients from Nagaland, Yashoda Hospitals has set up a dedicated help desk offering Hyderabad medical trip planning, airport pick-up and drop, hospital accommodation arrangements, and personal assistance throughout treatment.

Plans are also underway to establish outpatient departments (OPDs) in Nagaland, allowing patients to access regular consultations and follow-up care without the need to immediately travel to Hyderabad.

The covered specialties include CTVS, pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, nephrology, and oncology.

Within just one month of joining CMHIS, the hospital received more than 200 patient inquiries from Nagaland. Yashoda is now preparing to welcome its first patient from the state for MR-Linac treatment, a cutting-edge cancer radiation therapy that normally costs around INR 8 lakh, but is now available free under CMHIS.
