Nagaland’s Directorate of Food Processing has invited online proposals for setting up multiproduct food irradiation units under PMKSY.
DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Food Processing, Government of Nagaland, has invited proposals from prospective entrepreneurs under the general, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and North Eastern Region (NER) categories for setting up multiproduct food irradiation units under the Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure (Cold Chain Scheme) component of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY).
The proposal is being invited in accordance with the scheme guidelines dated August 6, 2024, available on the website of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), a DIPR report stated.
Under the scheme, MoFPI will provide financial assistance of 35% of the project cost for general category beneficiaries and 50% for projects involving difficult areas, SC/ST beneficiaries, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

The assistance is capped at INR 10 crore for individual FPOs, Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), SHGs, NGOs, PSUs, firms, companies and government bodies.
Eligible entities have been directed to submit their proposals online only through the SAMPADA portal under the “Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana” section, along with all relevant details under the prescribed headings.
The directorate stated that physical submissions or proposals submitted through any other means will not be accepted.
The last date for submission of applications is 5 pm on August 31, 2026.
