DIMAPUR — Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Holi, highlighting the festival’s message of unity, harmony and the triumph of good over evil.
In a message issued on Tuesday, the Governor said Holi symbolises the triumph of good over evil and celebrates joy, harmony and togetherness. He said the vibrant colours of the festival remind people of the beauty of diversity and the importance of strengthening bonds of friendship and unity among all communities.
Bhalla expressed hope that the festival would fill every home with happiness, peace and prosperity, and inspire people to uphold the values of love, mutual respect and goodwill while working together for the progress and well-being of the state.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, in a message posted on X, also conveyed warm greetings to those celebrating Holi. He described the festival as heralding the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil, and expressed hope that its spirit of unity, goodwill and harmony would bring joy, renew friendships and strengthen the bonds of togetherness among all.
