DIMAPUR — The Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) department bid farewell to its retiring director, Chubawati Chang, and other officials during a programme held at the conference hall of its directorate in Dimapur on June 30.

An update from the department stated that the advisor of Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology and Consumer Protection, KT Sukhalu, and the secretary, Limawabang Jamir, along with officers and staff of the directorate, attended the programme.

In his farewell address, the outgoing director reflected on his 35-year-long journey in government service—from his initial posting as extra assistant commissioner (EAC) to serving as additional secretary. He thanked all his colleagues and subordinates and conveyed his gratitude to Almighty God for granting him good health and a sound mind throughout his career.

Also speaking on the occasion, the advisor encouraged the retiring officials to see retirement not as an end but as the beginning of a new journey. He spoke about the importance of having faith and embracing the future with hope and positivity.
