DIMAPUR — A farewell ceremony was held on June 30 at the Office of the Commissioner, Kohima, to bid farewell to KS Anden Konyak, Commissioner, Nagaland, as he retired from government service.

Among others, the event was attended by deputy commissioners, senior officers, Gaonburas, Dobashis, Village Guards, and staff from the Commissioner's office, a DIPR report stated.

In his farewell address, Anden Konyak expressed gratitude to senior officers, deputy commissioners, and attendees for their kind words, thoughtful gifts, and presence which, he said, would cherished as reminders of the friendships and memories forged over the years.

The president of the Nagaland GBs Federation termed Anden as a guiding force, offering support and direction over the years. He said, “Under your leadership, we worked not just as a team, but as a family,” and wished him continued blessings in the future.

The president of the Nagaland Dobashis Association lauded Anden’s unwavering support, saying the community would always be grateful. “Retirement isn't an end, but a new chapter, where one can continue to contribute to society with wisdom and dignity,” he noted.
