DIMAPUR — Mokokchung district won the 13th edition of the Nagaland Veteran Inter-District Football Tournament, defeating Kohima district 1–0 in the final match held at the Old Showuba village local ground in Niuland district.
According to a press release on Friday, the four-day tournament began on February 10, with MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu gracing the opening programme. The event was hosted by the Nagaland Veteran Football Association (NVFA) under the theme “Kick in football, Kick out ism”.

A total of ten teams representing ten districts participated in the tournament.
In the third-place match, Wokha district defeated Zunheboto district to finish third, while Zunheboto placed fourth.
Anthony Ngullie, president of the NVFA, in his closing remarks thanked all the players for displaying sportsmanship throughout the tournament and acknowledged the organisers for conducting a successful event. He also handed over the tournament trophy and medals to the players.
