The Mokokchung Municipal Council will conduct its annual dog registration-cum-vaccination drive on September 2 and 3, 2026, across all municipal wards.
DIMAPUR — The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) will conduct its annual dog registration-cum-vaccination drive for 2026–27 on September 2 and the 3rd within the municipal area.
ADC and Chief Executive Officer of the MMC, Atsungba Walling, stated that the drive is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and the Animal Welfare Union Mokokchung (AWUM).
According to the circular issued by the MMC, the registration renewal and vaccination exercise will begin at 8 am.
All wards have been directed to arrange the necessary facilities for the vaccination teams. Each ward is also required to assign two volunteers to assist the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services team, while the respective ward chairman has been authorised to sign registration cards for renewal.
Wards that submitted their dog tags after last year’s registration have been asked to collect them, while those that did not submit their tags may continue using the existing tags.

Wards requiring replacement tags for lost tags have been directed to submit a detailed list to the MMC office by August 27.
Registration cards are also to be collected from the MMC office during working hours on August 27.
The MMC stated that fees for new registration, renewal, vaccination and utilisation charges will remain unchanged.
On September 2, the drive will cover Salangtem, Alempang, Alongmen, Sangtemla, Tongdentsuyong, Arkong, Penli, Dilong and Sungkomen wards.
On September 3, the exercise will cover Yimyu, Lijaba Lijen, Mongsenbai, Kumlong, Kichutip, Aongza, Marepkong, Majakong and Artang wards.
