Second phase of Census training begins in Meluri district with 48 supervisors and enumerators trained for digital enumeration.

DIMAPUR — The second phase of census training for supervisors and enumerators under Meluri district commenced on Monday 22 at the DB's Court, deputy commissioner's office, Meluri.
Welcoming the trainees, Zuchibemo Ezung, EAC Meluri and charge officer, emphasised that the census would be conducted through an online digital platform and stressed the importance of proper training to minimise errors during data collection.
Ezung stated that field operations would be carried out block-wise to ensure systematic and accurate enumeration.
Highlighting the challenges faced by a newly created district, Ezung noted that Meluri has extensive responsibilities in collecting and compiling data.
He urged all supervisors and enumerators to work diligently and maintain accuracy in order to avoid cross-enumeration and ensure the successful conduct of the census.

He also encouraged all participants to undergo the training sincerely and wished them success in carrying out their assignments.
A total of 48 trainees, comprising supervisors and enumerators from three blocks, are participating in the programme.
Meluri town block is represented by 16 personnel, including two supervisors and 14 enumerators. Phokhungri block has 14 participants, comprising two supervisors and 12 enumerators, while Phor block is represented by 18 personnel, including three supervisors and 15 enumerators.
