The second phase of Census 2027 training concluded in Meluri district, preparing supervisors and enumerators for accurate data collection.

DIMAPUR — The second phase of the Census 2027 training programme for supervisors and enumerators in Meluri district concluded on June 24 at the DB's Court, Deputy Commissioner's Office, Meluri.
The three-day training programme, which began on June 22, was attended by 48 supervisors and enumerators from Meluri town and Phokhungri block, according to a DIPR report.
Addressing the participants during the concluding session, Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi, emphasised the importance of conducting enumeration strictly in accordance with the prescribed questionnaire and carrying out assigned duties with sincerity and dedication.
He urged the trainees to uphold accuracy and integrity in data collection, noting that a reliable census serves as the foundation for effective planning and development.
He also stressed the need to update self-enumeration records accurately to ensure correct population data.

Census 2027 preparations continue across Nagaland
The deputy commissioner underscored the importance of careful data collection and maintaining clear and accurate records.
He pointed out that enumeration in urban and town areas would be among the most challenging tasks and urged the trainees to exercise utmost diligence while performing their responsibilities.
Yepthomi further stated that attentive participation during training sessions is as important as practical work. He advised the trainees to thoroughly understand every aspect of the process to avoid confusion or doubts during the actual enumeration exercise.
Expressing confidence in the participants, he hoped that they would discharge their responsibilities efficiently and contribute to the successful conduct of Census 2027.
