Lotha Students' Union directs employers in Wokha to ensure non-local workers possess valid Inner Line Permit.
DIAMPUR — The Lotha Students' Union has reached an agreement with thekedaars, contractors, vendors, businesspersons, and others engaging non-Naga workers within Wokha district to ensure that all workers possess required government-prescribed documents, including a valid Inner Line Permit (ILP).
According to a press statement issued by the union, all employers and persons engaging non-local workers shall remain responsible for ensuring that workers under their supervision hold the necessary documentation.
According to an update from the union, in the event that any non-Naga worker is found working without the required documents, the employer under whom the worker is engaged will be held responsible, and the union will initiate strict action in accordance with its resolutions and established procedures.

The union further stated that it will not entertain or extend support to any local person, thekedaar, contractor, vendor, businessperson, or individual who knowingly facilitates, shelters, or supports non-local workers found without required documents.
The Lotha Students’ Union appealed to all concerned to cooperate and ensure that applicable requirements are respected, thereby promoting a proper and responsible system for engaging non-local workers within Wokha district.
