Kohima and Wokha administrations notify requirements for obtaining language proficiency certificates.
DIMAPUR — District administrations in Kohima and Wokha have issued notifications outlining requirements and procedures for the issuance of language proficiency certificates.
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, notified the mandatory checklist of documents for applicants seeking a Language Proficiency Certificate for the 19 local languages and dialects identified by the Government of Nagaland, pursuant to a Home department notification.
Applicants must submit an application on plain paper along with their Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Class 10 (HSLC) marksheet, and a recommendation letter from the concerned Tribal Literature Board or Ura Academy, along with supporting documents.
The certificate will be officially issued by the additional deputy commissioner, Kohima.

The deputy commissioner of Wokha informed that language proficiency certificates will be issued to indigenous inhabitants from the offices of the deputy commissioner, Wokha; the additional deputy commissioner, Bhandari; and the additional deputy commissioner, Sanis.
Applicants must furnish their Scheduled Tribe Certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, HSLC or Class 10 pass certificate, and two recent passport-size photographs. The certificate is being issued solely for engagement as Gram Dak Sevak under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
