Dimapur Police have identified a 68-year-old man as the third accused arrested in the Lengrijan case involving the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl.

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police have identified the third person arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl at Lengrijan, as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case continues its investigation.
In a press note issued on Monday, police stated that the third accused, Akangkokba Ao (68), a native of Unger village under Changtongya Police Station in Mokokchung district and presently residing at Residency Colony, Dimapur, was arrested on June 7.
The latest development comes days after Dimapur Police constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by a senior officer to investigate the case, which was registered following a First Information Report lodged by the guardians of the minor victim on May 25.
Police had earlier arrested two other accused in the case—O Watimeren Jamir (43), a resident of Lengrijan village, Dimapur, and Tsuktimongba Ao (37), a resident of Razaphe Industrial village, Dimapur.
