Phek District Planning and Development Board celebrates Advent Christmas with Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu urging officers to serve with accountability and love.

DIMAPUR — The Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its Advent Christmas celebration at Phek town on Tuesday, with Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA, addressing the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Nienu challenged government officers to be committed to their duties and bring about social reformation, according to an update.
He stated that as government servants, they need to perform their duties truthfully and responsibly and do justice. He stressed the need to exercise accountability and transparency in one’s dealings.
Nienu also told the officers to serve the people with love, compassion and care. “It is very important to be guided by the Bible,” he told the officers and asked them to take the Bible as “Your best teacher, your best advisor and your best professor.”

Touching on Christmas, Nienu said, “Jesus Christ has brought to this world the true love.” He told the gathering to spread the message of love and reach out to underprivileged people.
Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA, also shared Christmas greetings during the event, while Dr. Vezhoto Soho, associate pastor of Phek Town Baptist Church, shared the Christmas message.
Rhosietho Nguori, deputy commissioner of Phek, also addressed the gathering. Shevohu Nienu, chairperson of Phek Town Council (PTC), too, joined the celebration.
