Government of Nagaland signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Jobs-in-Germany GmbH at NTTC, Dimapur

DIMAPUR — In a significant step towards internationalising skill development and expanding global employment opportunities for youth, the Government of Nagaland, represented by P Tokugha Sema, Director of Industries & Commerce, and Chief Executive Officer of Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jobs-in-Germany GmbH, represented by Ralf Kratschmer, co-owner and managing director, on December 15 at NTTC, Dimapur.
The MoU was inked in the presence of senior officials from the Government of Nagaland, German representatives, and NTTC officials, an update stated.
“This strategic partnership reflects the Government of Nagaland’s vision to develop a high-quality, globally competitive technical workforce, aligned with international industry standards, Skill India Mission, and Germany’s Skilled Immigration Act.
“It shall also promote bilateral cooperation between Nagaland and German states, including Bavaria, in the areas of technical education, German language acquisition, cultural integration, and workforce mobility,” the update stated.

Under the agreement, the Government of Nagaland, NTTC, and Jobs-in-Germany GmbH will collaborate on aligning NTTC training programmes with international and German industry skill standards; facilitating German language training (A1, A2, B1) and cultural preparation for selected trainees; establishing a workforce mobility framework linking NTTC-trained candidates with German employers; providing technical expertise, faculty training, and curriculum support to NTTC; and strengthening collaboration with German industry stakeholders for vocational training, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities.
Twenty 22 candidates have been selected for the first batch and will undergo the seven-month training programme starting from January 12, 2026.
“This MoU marks a first-of-its-kind institutional initiative in India, positioning Nagaland as a pioneer in government-led international workforce mobility and reaffirming NTTC’s role as a centre of excellence for globally aligned skill development,” the update added.
