Power shutdowns are scheduled across several Nagaland areas from October 2 to November 10 for transmission-line maintenance
DIMAPUR — Several areas under Kohima Transmission Division will face scheduled power shutdowns from October 2 to November 10 as the Power department undertakes vegetation clearance and maintenance of transmission lines.
The shutdowns will be imposed from 9 am to 4 pm on scheduled days, the department informed in a press release.
The 132kV Kohima–Karong line will be shut down on October 2 and 3, followed by Kohima–Zhadima–Chiephobozou from October 5 to 7, affecting Zhadima.
The 132kV Zhadima–NU line will be affected on October 8, with parts of the Northern Angami area facing shutdown. The Chiephobozou–Wokha line will be shut down from October 9 to 12, followed by Wokha–Philimi on October 13 and 14.

The Wokha–Sanis line will be shut down from October 15 to 17, while Sanis–Doyang DC will be affected on October 19 and 20, covering Sanis, Bhandari, Baghty and Merapani areas.
The Tuensang–Kiphire line will undergo shutdown from October 22 to 28. The 66kV Kiphire–Likimro line will be affected on October 29 and 30, covering LHEP.
The Kiphire–Meluri line is scheduled for shutdown from October 31 to November 3, followed by Meluri–Kohima from November 4 to 10.
The department appealed to consumers and residents in the affected areas to cooperate and bear the inconvenience during the scheduled shutdowns.
