DIMAPUR — The Kiphire Area Students' Union (KASU) and the Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) have voiced strong concern over the unresolved issue of the Nagaland RMSA Teachers’ Association 2016.
In a press statement, KASU said that it is unacceptable that despite two clear verdicts, the authorities have chosen to delay justice and likened this failure not only to an injustice to teachers but also to an insult to every student who depends on them for learning and growth.
It reminded the Government of Nagaland that a court order is not optional—it is binding. Prolonged delay weakens faith in governance and the rule of law, and when teachers are denied their rights, students are denied stability in education.
KASU urged the government to act without further delay and added that the rightful dues of teachers must be released immediately. It further stressed that a lasting solution should be ensured so that such struggles are never repeated in the future.

In a similar statement, Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) said that the appointment of the RMSA teachers underwent a competitive exam process, ensuring strict transparency.
It said that the failure on the part of the government has not only deprived the teachers of their dues but also sends a discouraging message, undermining their morale and dedication.
It noted that the nine GHS schools within Tuensang—GHS Yangpi, GHS Ngoungchung, Government High School (GHS) Hakchang, GHS Sangsangnyu, GHS Chaba, Government Higher Secondary School Hakushang, GHS Chingmelen, GHS Konya, and GHS Phangsang—are being deployed with RMSA teachers and added that the negligence of the government to address the genuine demand has impacted the quality of education, the academic growth, and the overall well-being of the students.
The conference strongly appealed to the state government to address the matter with utmost seriousness and urgency, adding that the court’s directive must be enforced and justice must be delivered without further delay.
