During the programme, Seb emphasised that the new centre is not just about providing mere facilities, but it is a sanctuary for recovery, a place where broken lives will be restored and find the strength to begin a new life, according to a DIPR report.

He said that substance abuse is not a personal issue; it is a social challenge that affects family, community, and the future of the nation; therefore, he emphasised that the centre represents the community’s commitment to protect the youth and to care for those who have lost their way.

Parents must be vigilant, schools must be proactive, churches and community organisations must speak out and offer support, and above all, we must talk openly about addiction, not with shame but with courage.

He stated that the District Drug Addiction Centre is dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction and live with dignity and purpose.
